Karen Diers, Refuge for Women - Las Vegas City Director

Karen Diers has a passion for seeing people experience personal transformation in their lives, relationships, and community.  As such, Karen maintains a strong and active involvement in her community including community development and non-profit activities that would include a local church in the communities where she has lived – holding various leadership positions including staff roles as Director of Creative Arts, Program Director and Worship Leader.   She has served in global development opportunities around the world  -- leveraging her gifts in teaching, leading, serving, and creative arts. She has served as part of many non-profit organizations dedicated to personal and community transformation that have served the local communities. Karen and her husband David have been married for 32 years and currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.   They enjoy hiking, traveling, and outdoor activities with their four children and grandson.   Karen holds a Bachelors of Art degree in music – voice performance from the University of Minnesota.
